IBM PC Registration

Hi... I recently bought a used X31. After running the restore cd's, I have a "IBM PC Registration" icon on the desktop. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to using the icon to register the Thinkpad with IBM (considering I'm not the original buyer/owner)?

The unit is still under warranty for >12 months and I've already had some work done on it successfully under that warranty at a non-IBM depot.

I was going to just delete the icon... but I thought I'd ask the kind people here first.

I'm sure it was registered way back when by the original owner, you will still be able to get all your software drivers just from visiting the ibm web site.

I always delete mine, to much clutter
