VGA cable - no feedback from IBM/Lenovo support

I've tried request form, contact local IBM support but they can't say if it is possible to order Thinkpad S30 VGA external monitor cable - even don't know part number because no information in documentation. I have no idea what to do. The plug from the computer side is very thin and small. Even If I consctruct the cable myself who can support me with pinouts?

Which model of ThinkPad do you have? Are you looking for an S-Video cable or a VGA cable? What do you want to connect to; a TV, external monitor, or a projector?

"Thinkpad S30 VGA external monitor cable" - so I presume he's talking about S30:

In this picture, there is a slim connector with VGA symbol on the right side:

Hope I'm not wrong.

Pardon my ignorance. I haven't heard of the S30 before. Then again, I see from the links that it was sold in the Asia market.

It's a standard mini-VGA connector, commmonly used on Apples.
You probably need something like this:
http://www.svideo.com/minivgatovga1.html a mini-VGA to VGA adapter.

It is not mini-VGA if I compare side by side with online photos. Much thiner and female.

Yes TPS30 VGA socket is much thinner and smaller than mini-VGA (looks very different) on your picture and cable must be a female-ended - more palmtop/mobilephone sockets alike.

Dobra jzagaja,
Could you post a photo?
I did manage to find a photo of the adapter connected to an S30, but there's no detail:

Wow. I uploaded those pics to ThinkWiki just a few weeks ago. Kinda pleased to see them be of use to someone.

James,
Don't have a digital camera. Looks similar to TDK PCD8824U2 slim CD/RW recorder cable, but you probably won't find any pictures

That's a better look at it Dave, thanks for the find.
Still doesn't ring any bells for me though.
Jacek, I've got one other source to check, I'll report back tomorrow.

James
