R40 used to be average in speed before any updates...
but it slowed down so much after the service pack 2 & norton internet security
.
so as some of you guys know, i got a 256MB stick!
it's not fast though. just doesn't slow down.
anyway, i wonder why my CPU usage when typipng is now 10%.
is it because the processor's trying to keep up with the memory? it's 1.4GHz Pentium M.
Also, I see 2 sets of rundll32.exe & 2 sets of SVCHOST.exe (2 SYSTEM, 2 NETWORK SERVICE, and 1 LOCAL SERVICE).
Is this normal?
Thanks.

My friend I have seen Norton Internet security slow down desktops with 256M to a crawl also, the first thing I do is recommend something else because even with 512 it still slows things down. I uninstalled Norton something or other from a lady's machine the other day, it was 141MB of stuff not including the updater.
This is my opinion, for those of you who enjoy the hugeness of Norton Internet Security please disregard.
