Adaptor compatibility

#1 Post by ambientscape » Tue Mar 28, 2006 1:44 am

I have a problem with my new adaptor. My previous ones can't be used anymore and I got myself a new adaptor. However I found the voltage information on the new one a bit different from my original ones. I have no knowledge whatsoever on this electrical voltage stuff, hope you guys here can shed me some lights.

The old one:

P/N 02K6665
FRU P/N :02K6677

Input : 100-240V ~ 1.4A - 0.7A
50Hz/60Hz
Output : 16V - 4.5A

The New one

P/N: 02K6746
FRU P/N: 02K6753

Input : 100-240V ` 1.5A-0.9A
50Hz/60Hz
Output : 16V - 4.5A

So, it is safe to use the new one?? I don't wanna burn my precious T23

Thanks

Perfectly safe. The output to your laptop is exactly the same. The new one just draws a little more power from the AC outlet is all.
