need help on enable superG with ibm minipci wireless adapter

Has anyone succeeded enabling superG with WGT624V1 and ibm miniPCI wireless adapter?
I found adapter II seems hard to enable superG and i bought a ibm a/b/g miniPCI wireless adapter FCU31P9701 exactly same with the one which is said can support superG by regedit:

i have done as following
1. Start-run-regedit
2. enter \hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\control\class
3. find atheros
4. add
1) Name=abolt type=string value=1
2) Name=disableTurboG type=string value=0

but it doesnt work
i have checked wmic, and the atinfrawirelessmode is 29, not 13, also looks good

can anyone give me some clew on enable turboG

btw, my router is netgear WGT624V1, wireless mode set to auto108m
firmware 2.4.11, has this something to do with the problem!!

enabling superG

There's no standard for "superG", so whether kit claiming superG support from different suppliers interworks is pretty much pure luck!

The trick is basically to make sure you have the same chip in both the AP as well as the wireless card. For my setup, I have a Mini-PCI A/B/G card by Atheros, so I check with there site to see who make APs using there chips, looked over the list, found a good sale on D-Link DI-624 and ... like magic connection at 108Mps.

i am not clear about the standard, but i only wish to get higher bandwidth.

i have checked that my wireless adapter and wireless router are both using atheros' chipset.

There is no actual Super G standard, which is why you have to make sure the chip is by the same manufacturer. Have you tried different drivers? When I was doing my machine, I found a whole bunch of drivers and came across a couple that didn't work for me.

i currently only use ibm's official driver.
the version wireless4laptop has succeed enabling 108m
i am doing the same thing as he said but result different.

maybe i need try all drivers. i will report new result of different drivers

In the T4x forum here, a poster has mentioned that the IBM Atheros card based mini-PCI card has the superG mode disabled in firmware, even if it indicates it is connecting in superG mode.

So even having the same chipset is guarantee of superG inteworking!

i have read that post which says when using wmic command to check the card, the atinfrawirelessmode value of the cripled card is 13, and my is 29

and the cripled cards are ibm triband wireless adapter II and my is first version and i found some post say that they had enabled 108m using the card of same FCU.

i guess maybe i miss some tricks on configuration:?:
