I saw this product on the IBM website and I had a few questions about it. I was wondering if I would be able to use it considering I have a T43 and a port replicator. The site says that only docks for the new series will be supported but I was wondering if any of you guys have used this product.

Here's the link

I haven't seen it, but I'm wondering if there's sufficient support for the laptop AND the dock on there. Depending on how you put the laptop on there, docking the TP and then putting both on teh stand sounds precarious. I wouldn't want to put stress on the docking connection and maybe break something after a few months' use.

From the pics, it appears that the dock for the Z60 and T60 use a very different docking method.

I just liked the idea of raising my whole notebook to a more vertical angle. This would allow me to have more space on the table for an external keyboard and would position my notebook screen at just the right viewing angle. It's to bad that support for T4x series docking stations aren't provided.

There are others that do this, one of my local warehouse stores ("BJ's," please stop snickering) has one for < US$30. But I'm not sure if any support anything but the smallest dock/port replicator on the butt-end of the laptop. FYI, I have no hands-on experience with these (yet). So take my comments with skepticism.
