Does anyone have a good sourece for 3.5" USB hard drive enclosures with a SATA interface to the drive? To be exact here, inside the enclosure the drive interface is SATA, and outside is a USB 2.0 interface (not to be confused with some new enclosures that come with both USB and "eSATA" as the external interfaces, see here, scroll down).

I've looked at the usual sources (NewEgg, ZipZoomFly and TigerDirect), and have found maybe two or three of them. All high priced, am looking for other sources.

Here's a place with one that's around the corner . . .

I already use the USB 2.0 > IDE (without the case).

However, both options have their disadvantages, since installing a new drive can be a cumbersome process, while external hard drives do not offer the same level of performance as that of directly attached Serial ATA (SATA) or UltraATA. However, external SATA (eSATA) is a worthy alternative. ... "
