nick
where is the cmos battery on 310D?
The hardware manual has information for locating and changing the battery. The manual can be downloaded here http://greyghost.dyndns.org/pccbbs/mobiles/ under "310hmm.pdf." You definitely will want to follow the manual for disassembly unless you have been inside the computer a few times before. In broad strokes, you have to undo the plastic hinge covers for the LCD monitor, disconnect the keyboard and trackpoint mouse, and take the keyboard off. Then, you will have to unscrew the thermal plate and remove it. You will then be able to change the battery located between the processor and the back of the computer. Having been inside my 310ED dozens of time now, I recommend you take your time, reference the hardware manual diagrams often, and be careful in there.
many thanks!
Really many thanks! I've been searching that manual for days...
