Client Security password problem

#1 Post by clickk » Wed Apr 26, 2006 10:01 pm

Hi i have been prompted by thinkvantage during bootup to set a password and i set the same password i used for everything on the comp security. Now everytime i bootup the client security program boots up and asks for a password, but i entered the password and gives me an invalid password message. Is there anyways i can reset the password? I have set the same password for everything and this Client Security thing saids its invalid.

Are you sure your latest password entry wasn't in the wrong case, i.e. caps lock on?

Try going into the CSS program. Click on the Advanced tab, and click "set security and backup preferences".

It warns about overriding settings curently generated. I have not actually tried that myself being afraid to lose my password manager passwords but that *might* work?
