Windows XP SP2 Battery Drain Fix

Microsoft released a hotfix to fix problems with laptops not entering C-states properly. Early on, this issue caused reviews for core duo laptops to show worse battery life than expected when USB 2.0 devices are connected. I don't know how much of an impact this will have, but when the problem was initially discovered the extra battery drain was significant.

It fixes A problem. Whether it fixes YOUR problem, who can say?

Note Various factors can affect the battery life of different portable computers that use different types of batteries. Therefore, you may not notice any improvement in battery life after you apply this update.
