Comparison of Screen on Different Older Models ??

#1 Post by kstuart » Thu May 25, 2006 7:39 pm

Hello,

I'm curious as to whether anyone who has owned a succession of different Thinkpad models over the years, can comment on the difference in the quality of the screens between the different models ?

I'm referring to differences in quality at the same resolution.

Also, if you have personal opinions on 12" vs 13" vs 14" vs 15", that would be interesting as well.

Having used PCs for 25 years, I have a very good idea of the performance differences between different processors, memory chips and hard drives, but I have no way of seeing different discontinued laptop screens ! :D (I may buy a second used Thinkpad on ebay, which is why I am interested.)

If there is existing information on this here (or on the web), please point me to it, as the Search function on phpBB forums do not allow searching the Subject line only. :(

Thanks!

I presently have two 600X's and both don't like 800x600. The characters don't display "cleanly" and I don't like the larger numbered (1024, etc) I've looked for different video drivers, and haven't ever "cured" the problem. I don't remember that my 380XD did that
