Wireless Reception: T23 Built-in Antenna VS T4x Built-in ?

Hello,

I'm now down to this one factor in trying to decide between a T23 and a T40 - the wireless reception.

I've only found one person's evaluation:

4. The antennas in the T23 are pretty weak, and my T40 with the same wireless card in the MPCI slot gets MUCH, MUCH better reception

Since I will be using the Thinkpad with WiFi 90% of the time, this is an important factor, and I'd really like to get more than one opinion (although I know that few will have owned both a T23 with built-in antenna and also a T4x).

PS Any other comments about pros and cons of the T23 vs the T40 would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a T23 and a T40, both with built-in antenna, and I can't tell any difference in the two. Neither one works as well as my 3COM X-Jack PC card.

Aren't they both in roughly the same place on the lid? I'm not intimately familiar with the T23 hardware....

I haven't had either of mine apart, but I've seen the HMM from item #8 in the FAQ. The antenna in both models runs up the sides of the screen.
