12" v 14" v 15" thinkpad size comparisons?

#1 Post by eigh » Mon Jun 19, 2006 7:20 pm

about last year i saw a pic floating around here showing the 12 14 and 15 inch on top of each other so you could see how much bigger the 14 and 15 inch models was.

even though the thinkpads have changed in this past year the comparison should still be the same. does anyone have these pics anymore or could anyone make them?

Those pictures were probably posted in the appropriate show-off section. With a quick search I found some pictures with different-sized thinkpads: here, here, here, and I'm sure that with a simple search, you'll even find more pictures of this kind...

I remember that specific post as well. I looked around but couldn't find it anymore. Maybe the pictures are no longer online, because you 'll notice that many of the older posts in the "post pictures of our thinkpad" section don't contain any pictures anymore :-)

I would have advised your friend to go for the 14", but hey , he'll probably love it anyway.

Back when I bought my current Thinkpad, I found it helpful to cut some pieces of cardboard to the correct dimensions. I didn't worry about thickness, just the width and depth. Seeing how those pieces of cardboard fit on my nightstand, on my dining table, etc., really made the size decision an easy one.
