Factory Contents link

#1 Post by jconnolly23 » Mon Jun 26, 2006 5:55 pm

My Symptom:
After restoring from backup the "Restore from Factory Contents" link is missing. This is caused by restoring from the rescue media (CD or USB). I recently did this.

Lenovo support site Solution:
If you wish to restore your factory contents and you previously created a Recovery CD set, restore from this set.

My question to this forum is: Will restoring with my Recovery CD set as suggested at the Lenovo support site completely restore Factory Contents, including the "Restore from Factory Contents" link? Or is that option gone forever from my machine?
Thanks, John

It will completely restore the factory contents on the hard drive and you will still have restore from factory link too.

Yup, as Kyocera said, it will restore your system back to the factory preload image as well as keeping itself as an option.

She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Worked as you both indicated it would. Thank you for the timely and effective replies/advice.
