Sound Volume Indicator Invisible

#1 Post by ThinkPad R » Sun Jul 02, 2006 10:23 am

Hey guys. I don't know why the sound volume bars aren't showing up recently.

Also I can't System Update for some reasons.

Does anybody know? Thanks.

You might need to reinstall the HotKey driver.

Sorry to go on a tangent, does this "Hotkey Driver" also control the use of the blue "Thinkpad" (formerly called "Access IBM") button?
If not, what program controls this function?

The reason why I'm asking is, there's another program called "ThinkPad Button Customiser" that enables you to launch *any* program by pressing this blue "Thinkpad" button.

It's not a registry change, so I'm wondering how resource-hungry this is as compared to IBM/Lenovo's version that launches "Access IBM" with this same blue button...

I believe so, as I discovered that the Hotkey Driver is needed for the Access IBM Online User's Guide to be brought up by the blue Access IBM button.

***Do you know if there's any way we can remap the blue "Access IBM" key to launch any program we want?

I'm thinking of customizing it to launch X1.

Thank you for your help in advance!
