Presentation Director wont install

When trying to install Presentation Director on a clients PC nothing happens. I've tried to do it thru the system update and software installer, which just gives the loading hourglass and hangs there doing nothing. When i tried to download the file itself and install it the hourglass showed for about 30 seonds and then disappeared and again nothing happens.

any ideas as to why this is?
