Hello,
How easy would it be to replace a non-functioning USB port from a Thinkpad (570) with a new one?
There's lots of info on replacing harddisks, screens etc. but seemingly nothing on USB ports.
They also seem to be impossible to find on Ebay...maybe that indicates replacing USB ports must be done by pro's?
Anybody know anything more about this?
Thanks!
Update: OK, I found out it's an integral part of the system board, so now my question becomes: is it likely that a USB port that acts like it has a loose connector, can be easily fixed with some soldering by an owner?
