My t42s battery is kinda old (02-2005) and the health is yellow. I only get about an hour to an hour and thirty minutes (barely) on the lowest speed and on brightness of three. Comments? Suggestions?

Time for a new battery.
At that point, I don't even think reconditioning could help.

I'm a bit confused about the battery capacities for T4x
Is the standard 6-cell: 4600Mah?
And the extended 9-cell: 7200Mah?
Can you buy a battery from anywhere in the world and plug it in safely? Say if I bought one from the US for a UK T41p? Thanks.
Just buy a new battery, they're relativley cheap in the US.

the r40 with main and ultrabay (only totaling 65wh) gets about 3.5 hours. the 600e gets 1.75 hours, and the 570 gets...20 minutes.
slightly unrelated, the jornada 680e gets about 7 hours.

Batteries are a consumable resource with a limited lifespan. I usually replace mine after approximately 18 months or so in my daily driver and use the old one in the machine while I'm on AC for long periods of time.

I will use my batteries till they last me only 1 hour and i will consider selling them to those who want a battery to act as a dummy for their TP...
Usually all my batteries which lasted for 1 hour or less had more than 379-387 cycles...!
