#1 Post by 3MOG » Sun Aug 06, 2006 11:59 pm

Hi, I ordered BMDC2 part no. 27R1880 for upgrade my T42 2378FVU and there was a metal clip came with the package. So far I can't find way to fit it in the installation, and BMDC2 works just fine without it. However this thing just keep annoying me and it would be appreciated if anyone could let me know any use of this part.

Here is the photo.

Something tells me that is either an additional part that is not used in your machine, or possibley some sort of extraction tool making swapping easier.

extractiion tool?

I would lean more toward it being an extraction tool than a part that is not needed. Did it come with a list of what is included? :?:

I ordered FRU 27R1880 (bluetooth/modem daughter card) and they just shipped them together. It doesn't show in maintenance manual either.

Hence, the clip is marked as "HRS" logo (manufacturer?), "Made in Japan" (the main part BMDC2 is made in Taiwan!?), and "U.FL" stamped on one side. Could it possibly be a kind of BT antenna for system without built-in wired whitey antenna? (I think the hole on the clip should fit with BMDC2 antenna RF connector!??)

Another idea is this clip might be the removal tool antenna RF connector (P/N: 08K7159) stated in maintenance manual??? :?
