Glue cracks in TP case

My X30 developed a crack in the case just above the hardrive opening such that the top of the case was separated on the top of the right side. This due to my wife having a habit of picking it up and carrying it with one hand on that side. (She's the primary user of the X30).
After checking through some posts regarding glueing cracks in TP plastic cases, I was unable to find a consensus on what works. It's pretty clear that a lot of things do NOT work. Purchased Loctite® All Plastics Super Glue. This is a two part glue system, claims to work on all plastics.
Repaired the X30 about 8 days ago, the wife continues to lift/move the machine quite abit and so far the glue is still holding. To me it looks like the plastic melted together from the glue, and I think it will hold.
I noticed when repairing it (I removed the drive to get it out of the way) that there is quite a bit of stress on that section of the case - in a "resting" position with the drive removed, the two broken edges did not meet, I had to hold them together with quite a bit of force. This is looks to me to be a design flaw stress point. In fact I now wonder if my activities several months ago, swapped drives in and out quite a few times over a weekend while installing and configuring original XP, that I may have contributed to the formation of this crack. When the drive is in and screw in place, the stress is lessened.
