keyboard problems =(

#1 Post by ipark » Wed Oct 04, 2006 4:50 am

while using search engines, whenever i press the Apostrophe/Quotation key, the find function turns on and won't let me write an apostrophe in the search box. i've searched for this specific problem and was not able to find anything on it. my layout is on us english all else is default. this is very annoying and i'm wondering if there's anything i can do to stop the find option turning on. oh and i use mozilla firefox if that has anything to do with it. thanks

It is a setting in Firefox. Under Advanced Options > Accessibility, uncheck box to Use Find As You Type.

The same exact thing happened to me a few weeks ago. Fortunately, my situation cleared up once I restarted..
