Just a little speculating here. Are you up-to-date with all the Microsoft Windows security updates? If not, go to Windows Update and get them.

Try running an antivirus scan in SAFE MODE. Also run an antispyware scan in SAFE MODE. This should eliminate the possibility that malware is causing the problem.

I get the same error... I'm about 98% sure that it's not a malware/virus problem but rather a software bug in the Lenovo utilities. I'll try to find out more and if I find anything useful will post here.

Have you tried running Start -> All Programs -> Thinkvantage -> System Updates? Maybe it's something they've fixed.

SafeHarbor brings up a good point. For instance, the file the OP refers to is an Access Connections file. Access Connections is currently at version level 4.23. Notice what was fixed in version 4.12.

I do have the 4.23 version of Access Connections and I still get the "Buffer Overrun detected", so it's not fixed. I often get it when resuming windows in the Minidock (after having suspended it without it being docked).

this is usually caused by a corrupt profile. Try deleting your profile(s) and see if the problem goes away....
