Upgrading RAM question

#1 Post by Purcy » Mon Nov 13, 2006 5:54 pm

In my T22 I currently have 256MB RAM so I am assuming there are two 128 chips in there, as my model only had 128 on manufacture. I am going to upgrade to 512MB RAM next month, my question - do I have to buy two 256 chips so there are chips in both slots, or can I just buy one 512MB and have one slot empty? I've been told by a friend I have to have chips in both slots (??)
IBM T23 (2648-4NU) 1.13Ghz Pentium III, 1GB, 60GB 5400rpm, CD/DVD-RW, Internal Wireless, Windows XP Pro SP2 [DONOR]

T22 doesn't support 512 MB modules so you'll need to buy two 256 MB ones ...
