I have MobileMeter on my desktop and it shows several measurements including Temperature and HDD #0; my question is what does Temperature refer to, and how is that different than the temp. of the HDD? Right now Temperature shows 57C and HDD shows 44C, I'm wondering what that means. My fan just kicked on too.
thank you

That is the CPU temp.

Oh, thank you. It's now down to 46C; is there a healthy okay range for the CPU, I notice my fan comes on at around 57-59C when I'm working with several windows open.
thank you

You should be ok, with a T22. I would keep an eye on it to make sure that you aren't getting into the upper 60's, but I believe that the processor can actually handle much higher.

I've seen 82C before, and a friend hit 90C on his T21. This was with forcing 100% CPU for about 10 minutes. The fan generally doesn't kick on until the low 70's, which I can only credit to poor design.
Sometimes it comes on when the temperature isn't even hot...

thanks guys, I noticed today after I posted this, I started watching what different things would do to the temps. My Windows Automatic Downloads started and it downloaded for about 5 minutes. I checked the temps and it was 64C, but the fan had already kicked on and it dropped 14 degrees in about 7 minutes, so I guess that is pretty good.
