Hi,

Could somebody tell me if this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814150199

Fits in ThinkPad Advanced Dock. I'm not in US now so I have to make sure before ordering it.

That card looks pretty friggin big, so I'm going to guess not... Also be aware that although the physical connector in the advanced dock will accomodate x16 PCIe connectors, the actual connection to the machine is only x1, so there will be a HUGE bandwidth bottleneck there. Thus, buying an expensive graphics card to boost your performance may not be the best bet. Something like this would provide better performance for sure.

Thanks kulivontot.

Perhaps I should explain my need better . Its not for playing game. Right now I have a T41P with ThinkPad Dock. I have connected a 20" ThinkVision via DVI and use my T41P LCD and the 20" monitor together. Everything work great.

I'm planning to change my T41P and ThinkPad Dock to T60P and a ThinkPad Advanced Dock. I also like to add a second 23" monitor to my system (hopefully will end up with 3 displays) so I need something to give me 2 DVI out from the ThinkPad Advanced Dock for the 20" and 23" displays. I like to have native resolution. I don't want to have to scroll or use VGA.

thanks

That card won't fit. It's too long.

In order to tell if a card will fit, first look at this picture, which I got by clicking on the "view larger image" link on the NewEgg website:

Look at the bottom of the card, at the distance between the right side of the bus connector and the right edge of the card. Any card wider than that won't fit.

Here's a picture of the card you asked about:

See the distance is larger? That's why it won't fit.
