maintenance disk on CD (part 2)

I have tried to copy the maintenance disk to a CD and it was suggested (correctly by rkawakami) that the problem in running was related to the fact that I couldn't write back to the CD. I confirmed that by write-protecting the maintenance disk and the software wouldn't work. I then tried to get a CD to setup a memory disk and load the maint disk image into memory and run the whole thing from the memory disk. It still doesn't work, so I think there is something that depends on an actual floppy. I am still playing with it.

Did you ever manage to get the maintenance disk to run from CD in the end?

I'd like to do this too as my X31 does not have a floppy drive.

I ended up buying a cheap USB floppy drive. Worked like a charm...
