NO internet ser for Firefox or any 3rd partys, BUT IE6,7 ok

HI,

I just found this issue with all my laptops, 3 desktops all ok.
I always did updates manual because auto seems to go on line just any ol time,and I did not like to overloaded my computers.

LTs: 2/600, 2/600E, 3/600x, 2/T20, 1/ A20, 3/T23. OS=ME /XPpro,sp2
note: one T23 OS= VISTA with no issue FF goes OL ok.

DTs = SOYO/P4=2gig, 2ea; vintage AMDs 400/500MHZ
VISTA/XP ME/VISTA
DTS all work good

SYSTEM: Little NETGEAR 4 port wireless router w/IN Acc Pt
cable= 2/DTs + 2LTs: wireless= 10/LTs +1/DT

I had thought all was ok untill I installed FF in 2/DTs and 2LTs.
the DTs w/VISTA, w/XPsp-2 all ok.

the LT w/ VISTA, ok 9LTs/XPpro,sp2 bad with FF and 3rd
party update issue, CAN NOT FIND SERVER (I feel they time out) but IEs ALL IS OK


All computers work good on local network.

All firewalls turned off

I'am stuck at connection settings advanced tab. and Firewall
advanced tab.


It seems when all is ok with this tab, click on settings, opens fallwall settings page. ON problem LTs tab says "corrupt settings
do RESTORE " no work

Installed latest patch from THE GREAT M.S. for network and firewall
(even though DTs were ok) no work

Firewall settings advanced tab says:"connections settings corrupt"
and half page gone. other tabes work ok.

reinstalled sp2. still no work.

reinstalled XP with repair option. still no work

I used GHOST to do HDD images and DTs worked ok just LTs bad.
