use recovery discs to reinstall one program?

#1 Post by allen » Thu Jan 18, 2007 1:29 am

about the set of recovery discs i created, are they good to just reinstall/reset/repair one of the preinstalled programs? if so, how?

for example power manager is giving me issues:

and i've already tried installing the newest version from the internet, still problems.

or are the recovery discs t just good for a full factory reset?

thanks!

The Product Recovery Discs will delete everything on the hard drive and reinstall ALL the original software. However, you might look in one of the subdirectories of C:\IBMTOOLS\ for your program or driver. It is possible Lenovo has another name for this directory now, but it should still be there.
