I appreciate it's not out yet and was only just announced, but do you think that it will be possible to upgrade to 802.11n with this new wireless mini pci card - swapping out a 2915?

It seems quite unlikely!
The form factor appears to be different to the 2915 and you may notice it has three (3) antenna connectors for a MIMO capable antenna rig, so even if it does physically fit, full 802.11n throughput probably wont be achieveable in a two antenna laptop .
Cheers,

In short, no. 2915 is mini-PCI. 4965AGN is a mini-PCIe card. Thus, unless IBM or Intel create a mini-PCI version you're probably out of luck. Best chance for you is a PCMCIA draft-n card.
