Wireless networks with different IP's

Hi everybody,

I often use wireless networks, and unfortunately I must use different IP addresses for each network. I have saved my networks and settings for them in the Thinkvantage Access Connections application. Unfortunately i must always change the windows IP addresses, and I cannot find any solution just for it to be done automatically.

In different words, in order to change the network I must click connect in Thinkvantage application (all the settings concerning IP addressing are saved there) and then manually change the IP address in windows wireless connection.

Is there a way for a Thinkvantage application to do it for me?

Thank you for your answers.

Access Connections SHOULD do that for you. I think this is a bug. I've seen that bug too - with older versions of Intel wireless drivers. Try to uninstall AC and drivers, reboot and then install the latest versions of that.

Or look for a program like this:

Can maintain several profiles/connections

I'll stay with the Access Connections provided by IBM. Now I think that it is just as SGD said, that it is the program flaw, as it should do this for me. I have experimented with it for a while, and once (just once) it worked. During the connection process, I got a normal message sth like: Changing TCP/IP settings and then my personal settings were set in windows. Therefore, now i'm sure that AC can do what I want. It's just i don't know how to force it to do it every time.

I could try like SGD said to reinstall my WLAN drivers, but I have just recently downloaded the newest drivers from Thinkvantage Update My System feature, so I think I have the newest drivers possible.

Does anybody have any more suggestions.

This may be just too obvious ... but is there no way to use DHCP? This is exactly the kind of situation that DHCP solves easily and automatically.

unfortunately not in every case. I use DHCP whenever I can, but sometimes for example I connect with my friends using Ad-Hoc network, and we must manually assing our addresses.
