Wlan working with 60% power only?

#1 Post by ilarip » Tue Feb 13, 2007 3:43 am

Why my WLAN wont work with full power? I mean that maxium signal strength is 60% altought im next to the WLAN-station...

I have installed latest drivers for AC and WLAN 3945abg-adapter.

Same problem occurs with a different networks so it cant be with my home WLAN.

In AC there is a option that allows to manage WLAN power and it is set to "maxium power saving" and i cant change it.

I've tried to uninstall AC and rollback WLAN drivers but it remains weak.

Please let me know if you have a solution?

BTW? is it possible that this problem has something to do with the pseudo-tunneling system? - I did get rid of it :)

Thanks but it didn't resolve the problem.

It's weird that I can switch the maxium performance (from AC) just for a few seconds and during that time i can see that I'll get the signal strength to 100% but only for few secs untill AC switches it back to maxium power saving.

Try setting up a custom profile in Power Manager. You should be able to set the wireless power level under "Advance Settings 1".

Cheers,

Bill
