Overly sensitive keys*anyone!

I have a R31 laptop that works perfect, except for the z key. It's overly sensitive. Meaning, if you just slightly touch it, a row of z's appear. Any hints on what to do? I've blown it out and nothing seems to be stuck underneath the key.

HELP

About the only suggestion I have for checking out the key is to grab a copy of PC Doctor for DOS:

R31 PC Doctor for DOS

and run the keyboard diagnostic. It may be that the key is almost stuck down, has a "bouncing" contact, or there is some other problem within the keyboard assembly.

I'm assuming that the "z" key is sensitive in all of the applications and/or operating systems?

In any one of those cases, the only solution (as far as I can see) is a keyboard replacement.

Thanks Ray. I'll give it a shot.
