Software Installer

#1 Post by venik » Fri Feb 16, 2007 8:17 am

Has anyone from IBM or Lenovo looked at their so called SOFTWARE INSTALLER? It is an insult to the users. It tries and fails to update programs and drivers because "a newer version is installed on your computer" etc.
Is it so difficult to do what the debian/Ubuntu systems do in keeping stuff up to date?

I've been using SI for a couple of years now; no problems with SI here...

Then it must be the air in NY, or the way I click on it to run it, don't you think?
