CSS slows startup - alot!

Hi,
Is this a new feature of CSS8 that it slows down login a lot...
Or is there a solution to make it faster? Without CSS8 login and startup goes much faster, but when using CSS8 in basic login it takes much longer to load the Welcome sign.. After you have entered your password and pressed enter to proceed it begins to load again - a lot. Without CSS8 it goes much more faster like it should be. I have set CSS8 settings to that mode that requires just one enroll to CSS8 per startup.

It is impossible to use fingerprintreader with CSS8 you have to wait like a 20 seconds to see was it permitted or not.

I had the same problem. I ended up uninstalling CSS8.

I disabled fingerprint login with CSS7, then installed CSS8 hoping it would be faster, but ended up uninstalling it. Too bad Lenovo screwed this up. I really liked fingerprint login.

you can have fingerprint logon without using CSS. I have exactly that on my X60, T43, and Z61T.

I uninstalled CSS long ago but the fingerprint logon is unaffected.

How do I setup passwords so that instead of typing the login and pass, I just swipe my finger?
Ie. for this forum. I haven't been able to figure out this feature, only works for Win logon.

Pull up CSS
In the menu bar>Advanced>Manage Security Policies>
For each login type select "Use custom security" and then edit to enable only fingerprint authentication.

I hope this is what you are looking for.

If you're using Firefox, you'll have to manually install the CSS plugin. There's a thread on using CSS 7 with Firefox 2 and miscellaneous discussion about CSS 8. Internet Explorer should just work "out-of-the-box."
