Stupid question
Stupid question
Hi,
Probaly a dumb question, but how do I put my "Backspace key" back to the keyboard? It popped out and I have tried for hours to put it back , but I can't figure it out. If I push it hard, it's just jammed and doesn't move freely. How do I do this? Anone?

Putting your location in your profile, as required by the Forum's rules, would remove that source of confusion.trisjung wrote:Thanks but I am not in Toronto.Talon88 wrote:PM me if you are at toronto.....!

I couldn't figure out so I took it to a computer repair store. They told me he key was broken and I needed to change the whole keyboard, which would cost me about $150. That's too much, I thought, so I went to another repair store where quoted me $200 to fix it. Well, I guess I will give a krazy glue try.

Depending upon the laptop you have, it can be a simple matter of removing four or five screws or a fairly involved task to disassemble the system and replace the keyboard. Again, depending upon the laptop, used keyboards off of eBay or here in the Marketplace can be had for ~$15.
Download the Hardware Maintenance Manual for your system from here:
HMM Index
to get an idea of how easy (or hard) it is to replace the keyboard.
