I have a problem when I use the wireless network. It has several (8-10?) access points which can be "seen" in the same net but the problem is that it sometimes is really slow (when there are a lot of users connected to the same access point?). I've looked in both XP and now Vista if there is any settings for locking to an AP with a specified MAC-address but haven't found anything. I then installed Access Connections where it is possible to specify a MAC but it doesn't lock to that one. If another access point has slightly better signal quality, it automatically switches to that AP.
I know that one can force connections in linux (where the performance gets increased), but how do I do it in Vista?
I'm using a T60 and the network is 802.11G.
