Flexview vs. non-flexview LCD?

#1 Post by MartinB » Sat Mar 31, 2007 3:26 am

Could someone please explain what the term "flexview" does in regard to LCD? What is it?

An IPS LCD, which means more accurate colors, and no distortions at wide viewing angles. Only available at 15" Thinkpads right now, and soon to be discontinued entirely (except in Tablets).

The downside of this screen is that it eats more battery.

Check Screen paragraph in this review. It clearly pictures the difference. The notebook on the left shows average (and ThinkPad future) screen while there is IPS on the right. Escpecially notice the poor contrast and shining "black" color on 10780.jpg
