IBM Client Security Software
Ok, I had some issues with various programs, and could not reinstall them properly without other issues, so I used my recovery disks, my rescue and recovery disk, and started from scratch.
Now, I have been up and running, but with something else wrong. My CSS is an older version I'm guessing from the disks, even older than when I purchased my laptop. I'm trying to play around with it, but it keeps asking me for the Administrator Password...and whatever I have setup for the Admin on Windows, isn't working. It keeps telling me if I don't have it, I must clear the security chip in the bios. How is that done? Nothing in there says clear, just disable or enable.
Also, since starting from scratch, my 60gig drive, now reads 51 total. Is that normal, 9 gigs?

The last 3 weeks have been a nightmare with this laptop. After 2 years of great service and no problems at all, it was bound to happen sometime.
Resetting the chip and clearing all info didn't work. Then, after that, I restarted, and coudlnt' get past my fingerprint reader. Had to call IBM, and had to reinstate to factory condition. Problems are fixed now, but I lost all my info, programs, emails, contacts, etc. Very frustrated and have a lot of work ahead of me to get my info back.
