Wifi running at 20%

I decided to put this in general, since it's more of a windows thing than model related.
A friend and I wanted to do some file sharing on our notebooks so I set up the wifi card on my R60 to be an access point etc., which worked fine and a few minutes later we were sharing.
Thing is, when I checked Task Manager during the transfer it showed that we were only using 18-20% of the lan speed.
I looked through all connections settings, tryed out various things and it didn't speed up.
Anyone know what might've been setup wrong?

54MBit is very very theoretical speed. You'll never achieve that. 10 to 20 real Mbits would be acceptable IMO.

I should make proper test but I'm really not surprised.

My wireless LAN at home is 11 Mbit, but whenever I need to move a big file (A complete multi-GB computer machine, for example), I disconnect the wireless and connect up with a wire. Wireless is convenient and I use it all the time, but speed for me is *not* one of its virtues (YMMV). JDH
