Software Installer and System Update unreliable/not thorough

Software Installer and System Update unreliable/not thorough

There is a new update for the Active Protection System at Lenovo.com, yet neither Software Installer nor System Update are finding it for me. My machine meets the requirements for this update, so why aren't they installing it for me?
T60p 2613-CTO, 2.33GHz, 3GB ram, Intel 80gb G2 SSD, H7K 200GB/7200rpm, LG Flexview IPS SXGA+ screen, ATI FireGL V5250

they have to manually program up the xml to include these updates. It'll usually take them a few weeks.
