Question about U.S. vs Canada warranty

#1 Post by taob » Thu Apr 12, 2007 11:03 pm

I just purchased a 2623-DDU T60p from the Lenovo US outlet center. It comes standard with a 3-year warranty on everything except the battery (as usual). The T60p was purchased with a U.S. credit card and shipped to a U.S. address, but I will be using it primarily in Canada.

Can I purchase the upgrade to 3 years of ThinkPad Protection with 9x5 NBD on-site replacement from Lenovo Canada? I keep reading how the U.S., Canada, Japan and Korea appear to be grouped together as far as warranty coverage is concerned. I really would like to add TPPRO coverage that is valid in Canada.

I read through the 8-page agreement that came with my TPPRO warranty on my existing T60, but it was not clear about the U.S. vs Canada thing.

Anybody know for sure?
