Base Software Administrator, Unable to create manifest file

#1 Post by CZOLG » Thu Apr 19, 2007 1:31 pm

Hello Everybody,

As I am about to start recovering my system, I thought I would give the BSA tool a try.
I downloaded it, installed, tried to use it.
Unfortunately I cannot create the manifest file.
The window that is supposed to show up after I choose New File/Manifest File does not apppear at all.
I am able to create a personalization file, but not the manifest one.
I have RR version 4 installed.
Any ideas what might be wrong?

I just checked my partitions in Disk Management under Windows. My service partition appears to have only 513mb.
This probably is the problem, I managed to corrupt it performing Vista upgrade.

I'll tell you what is wrong.

TBSA is not supported on your T43. -rather your T43 does not support TBSA.

Only preloads that shipped on the 60 series after July of 06 support TBSA...

This probably is the case. I tried to recover the system with the CD's and then use the tool. I was able to create the manifest file, but it made no changes to the recovery settings.
Thanks for the explanation wackydan.
Pity I cannnot use this tool though.
