vga to rca video cable?

#1 Post by allen » Tue Apr 24, 2007 11:35 pm

does anyone have a good simple solution for hooking up your thinkpad to a tv to watch movies? for tvs with the red yellow white rca plugs? for either dvds or movies stored on the computer?

i was thinking vga to rca cable, but common stores like bestbuy and circuit city claim not to have 'em, and then the audio would still be coming out of the weak thinkpad speakers.

anyone know where to buy such cables?

I've only come across one solution: a PCMCIA adapter that has an S-video port. From there on you can get other cables to connect to the TV.
And there is such a beast!
