Does the Essential Port Replicator have it's own MAC address

I'm trying to work out some connectivity issues on my T60 with our networking team. I can connect to some resources only when I'm wireless or connected via the built-in NIC card, but not while docked in my Essential Port Replicator. They seem to think it's a MAC address issue, but I can't find any indication that the port replicator has one. Is it just a pass-through device? Is there anyway it could be modifying network traffic to look like it's coming from something other than my NIC card?

A port replicator isn't supposed to have a MAC address, as it doesn't have a NIC. But if you want to be sure, go to the DOS prompt, and type IPCONFIG /ALL. This should give you full information about your network connections, including MAC (physical) address. See if it's different when docked versus undocked.

Thanks for the suggestion dr_st. I checked from home and the MAC address was the same as when docked. However, would the PC even know what the dock's address was, if one existed?

The OS knows the MAC address of the active connection.
