XP & Vista (2 drives)... CSS issues
I'm running into an unexpected problem. I've got 2 hard drives in my T60. One running XP pro, and one running Vista. I started with XP pro, and the fingerprint reader and CSS all worked fine. Now, that I've added the 2nd OS/drive, I get an error message when I try to enroll in CSS. Anyway, I can't get to Password Manager.
I'm assuming that I can't set it up for 2 different hard drives simultaneously... or maybe it's because it's 2 different versions? Can anyone verify that, or tell me how to get around it?

Just a guess. If you installed Vista on the second hard drive while the hard drive with XP was in the ThinkPad, then Vista would put a boot manager on the XP drive. This boot manager may be the source of your problem. To fix, you might need to run fixboot from an XP install CD on the XP drive or else use the Rescue and Recovery Repair diskette on the XP drive. You also may need to repair the Vista install with a Vista install DVD with the XP drive removed from the ThinkPad.
FYI, if you have a bootable drive with XP installed on it, and you remove the drive from the ThinkPad while you install Vista on another hard drive, then after Vista is installed you can place the XP drive back in the ThinkPad so that both drives are connected. Now you can press F12 at the IBM/Lenovo splash screen to get a drive choice boot menu. Whichever drive boots becomes the C: drive, and the other the D: drive.

Yeah... I've got it set up that way now. I loaded the Vista drive with the XP drive out of the machine... I actually had to, since I have to remove the optical drive to use both of them. Since I don't use the optical drive much, I just leave both hard drives in, atleast until I get Vista set up the way I want it.
I have the same problem. Have you solved it? I Installed Vista on a HDD what was the only one in the T60p and the DVD Drive.
After installation i put the original XP HDD in the HDD bay and the Vista HDD in the changable bay. In the BIOS i change the boot selection. But CSS didn´t worked any time under Vista. It came every time the message that the user couldnt registered. The error comes to if i used only the Vista HDD in the HDD bay
So i cant use CSS under Vista. Under XP it works fine
