Getting my T61 is great, but for office work i m getting an Advanced Mini docking station. What would be a good TFT (wide) monitor to combine it with?
I m not into games at office, so i d like something with good quality display (meaning TN panels are not favorite) but same time not to pay for an EIZO.
Any suggestions?

Dell makes pretty good monitors. I have a 2001FP (20.1") right now that I'm very happy with and I'm planning on getting a 2407WFP 24" widescreen.

2407WFP!
however, the lenovo stand for the t6x advanced docks, the base where you sit the monitor, its just a bit too narrow to fit the 2407WFP's stand. i mean it sits on there, its just not stable.

I've got a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 900u CRT that's showing it's age, but it's got one feature that I know I will find hard to live without . . . it's got a USB hub with 2 upstream and 3 downstream ports. The hub can be configured to switch between the upstream ports when the monitor's video input is switched. I have a desktop computer and my T60 both connected when I'm working in my home office, and have my mouse and full-size keyboard plugged into the monitor's hub. When I switch video inputs, the mouse and keyboard automatically switch to the alternate computer.
It's basically like having a KVM switch built right into the monitor, without the downside of the signal degradation imposed by most KVMs.
Has anyone seen a reasonably-priced LCD panel that offers similar functionality? Sony offers one, but it's hard to find on-line and a bit pricey.

skanky, doesn't the DVI output of the notebook have a limit to 1600x1050 or something?
IPS or PVA panel ?

IPS/PVA? erm not a clue.
the vga seems to be limited to 1600x1200, the dvi goes up to my monitor's limit of 1920x1200 fine.
using modded 7.5 cat's for vista and was using 7.5 mobility cats for xp.

wow that is great news if the DVI output of the Advanced Mini Dock doesn't have a limitation!
Saw a nice EIZO 20,1" but it's €700 dammit!
