Password Manager causes IE7 to not respond...

Repeatedly, to the point of almost every time, IE Explorer will freeze (Not Responding) after Password Manager asks the question to save, no or never the userid and password at sites that require this login.

I thought this was a great little utility, now I wish it was off my system. I can't find anywhere to remove the utility. How can I access my login sites with this nuisance factor prohibiting me???!!

Call me 'Extremely Annoyed'...

G'day, welcome to the forum.

I've had this problem and it has been discussed here:

Unfortunately I haven't got around to trying what worked for the other forum member.

Thanks for the fast reply!

I've taken note of those instructions and will try it today and get back to the list re: its effectiveness. Other than that, I was going to try and recover to an earlier backup.

The first thing I tried was the quick-fix. I went into IE Tools, Internet Options, Programs, Manage Add-Ons and Disabled CPwmIEBrowserHelper.

Instant success!! in getting into my login sites. So that's the first hurdle. I can do what I have to do without the pesky Password Manager crashing IE7, then tomorrow, I'll download all those updates, enable pesky PM and see if we can't sort out this hitch.

Thanks guys! At least I can move on...

Alternatively, install Firefox. Safer and better organized.
