Volume of the internal speaker - how to change it

Hi all,
Maybe I am writing about something obvious, but I just discovered it, did not see anywhere, so I'd like to share it:
Just after getting my laptop I set up the BIOS and HDD passwords. These passwords included dash (hyphen, minus) sign.
I had to remove the HDD password due to the HDD change. So I had to type the password first to remove it. And I was surprised that when I was typing the dash sign laptop did very loud BEEP!. And I figured out that if I type dash (and some other characters) it is NOT accepting them and making BEEP!. But why it did not BEEP when I was setting up the password? Because I pressed MUTE button on the keyboard within the Windows!
What does it mean?
1. You can MUTE your internal speaker (I would say: beeper
) by pressing MUTE button on the keyboard.
2. You can adjust the volume of this speaker using VOLUME keys.
3. It is independent from the Windows, so you can do it while you are in the BIOS or DOS mode.
Looks like useless info, but using that you can change the BEEP volume to the acceptable level and then adjust the volume of these real speakers from Windows. It will not affect your internal beeper, only the speakers (these REAL speakers.
