More than one

I've read on this site, and elsewhere, that it's best to use several antimalware programs.
I've discovered the hard way that that isn't always possible b/o conflicts and crashes.
I have comodo FW, AV, and comodo Boclean; computer crashes if Spybot also on the drive, even if not automatically loading!
How do people set up to use more than one antispyware?
Thanks.

Can you point to a specific post or site that says to use two anti spywares. It's OK to use an anti spyware, software firewall and anti virus, but I would not use two anti spywares personally, this could cause conflicts.

Moreover, make your computer run as slow as frozen molasses.

check out these threads for a reference. Not that I'm specifically pushing any anti-virus or spyware but I use Windows defender/windows firewall/AVG freeware which adds up to $0.
On my 2003 server I have been using Nod32 purchased per the promotion at the top of the forum, it is perfect so far, non intrusive and runs very quietly in the background.

For my compute protection, first I use Firefox so I can control what cookies get put in. Out of the box alone, Firefox reduced malicious software by 85-90% in my tests. By doing some other tweaks to it, you can reduce that even further. For antivirus, I find that AVG Free Edition gets the job done. Then I also use Spybot Search and Destroy and Adaware to scan every once in a while. Then when they have finished their scans and clean up, I run CCleaner to pure the registry of missing data (most of it from the spyware and adware) and do general cleanup. I have not had any manifestation of malicious software in about 1 1/2 years thanks to this, and sometimes I neglect to run this stuff and nothing bad happens!

I would disagree with this to a degree - I've always found that Spybot, AdAware, AVG Anti Spyware, etc. are capable of picking up spyware that other programs can't. I know about not using more than 1 antivirus solution (go NOD32

) but when I do spyware runs, I tend to do them one after the other with what I have on my computer (which is the abovementioned programs - AVG runs silently while I open the other 2 up to do the scans separately). But I wouldn't have them all running at the same time.
Plus I've read about using multiple anti spyware programs in a couple of places - I'll try and find sites when I have the time, but there was a test done on Call for Help a year or 2 ago that showed reasonably conclusively that just one anti spyear program may not be enough.
