TV Client Security System 8 and Password Manager - Tip

#1 Post by bobstockler » Wed Jul 11, 2007 7:15 pm

Sometimes, if you remove a site in the Password Manager, the next
time you visit that site and log in, the Password Manager might
fail to prompt you and ask if you want it to remember your login
information.

That's because all instances of that site's name have not yet been
removed from those the Password Manager remembers.

The fix:

| Start => All Programs => ThinkVantage => Client Security Solution
|
| Click on "Set Preferences" and then again on "Set Preferences" in
| the drop down menu.
|
| In the "Preferences" window, click on the "Restricted" tab. At the
| bottom of that screen is a panel containing the names of a number
| of sites you've visited, at which you've used the Password Manager.
|
| If the name of the site, where the Password Manager fails to prompt
| you and offer its help. is in that list, click on it.
|
| The "Remove" button above that panel will activate. Click on it to
| remove that site's name from the list.

Now, the next time you visit that web site the Password Manager will
ask if you want it to remember the login information for it.
